Midsummer’s Dream

A playful brand dinner for Sweef Furniture inspired by their animal-named ecosystem and the idea of the vegetable family.

For Sweef Furniture’s Midsummer’s Dream dinner, Vitamin Color was invited to reimagine the brand’s world through food, color, and design. Known for naming its furniture after animals - celebrating diversity within a unified family - Sweef inspired the concept of the Spirit Vegetable Dinner: a joyful, multi-sensory exploration of the vegetable kingdom.

The dinner translated Sweef’s philosophy into a culinary and visual experience where each area of the table celebrated a different vegetable - from eggplant to tomato, cucumber to pepper. The tablescape combined playful color harmonies and sculptural arrangements, transforming the table into a living ecosystem.

Each dish focused on a single vegetable, exploring its many forms and preparations - raw, roasted, pickled, confit - revealing the versatility and character of each ingredient. Guests were invited to discover their own “spirit vegetable,” extending the idea of a spirit animal into the realm of food and identity.
