Edible Score
A musical tasting experience at the Berlin Philharmonie translating
John Williams’ iconic film scores into edible compositions.
For a special evening at the Berlin Philharmonie, Vitamin Color created Edible Score - a series of sculptural bites inspired by the music of John Williams. Conceived for a cocktail reception following the concert, each bite reinterpreted a film from the program through flavor, form, and emotion, allowing guests to experience the concert again - this time through taste.
From Dracula’s dark romanticism to Star Wars’ cosmic contrasts, from Harry Potter’s sense of wonder to Jaws’ minimalist tension, each bite became a culinary movement within a symphonic menu. Guests were invited to guess the inspiration behind each piece, transforming dining into a game of memory and recognition.
Drawing from a background in classical music, Vitamin Color approached this project as a sensory translation - transforming sound into flavor, composition into taste.
Presented for the Friends of the Philharmonie on the final night of John Williams’ three-concert series, the event became both an homage and an experiment: a bridge between music, memory, and emotion.
