Edible Flooring
A festive installation for Bolon translating the brand’s woven flooring into color, pattern, and taste.
For a holiday event with Bolon, Vitamin Color created Edible Flooring - a two-part installation celebrating the brand’s climate-neutral woven flooring through food, color, and form.
When guests entered the space, they were greeted by a sculptural Christmas tree made entirely of radicchios and mandarins - two winter jewels. Positioned at the back of the room, the tree served as a festive focal point, visible the moment the door opened - an emblem of seasonal abundance and Bolon’s bold approach to color and material.
At the center of the space stood a round table covered in grey linen, beneath which boxes of varying heights created a sculptural, tiered surface. On top of the linen, flooring samples were arranged in geometric compositions, forming a visual rhythm across the table.
Bites were directly inspired by the colors and shapes of Bolon’s woven flooring. The table was intentionally minimal so that the dialogue between food and material could take center stage — vibrant bites set against textured, tactile surfaces.
