Red on Red on Red
An edible Art Apéro at La Sudestada exploring beauty, texture, and desire through food, fashion, and art.
Hosted at La Sudestada in collaboration with House of Cidra, Edible Art Aperó was an evening at the intersection of food, fashion, beauty, and art - an exploration of red not just as pigment, but as texture, emotion, and desire.
The installation was shaped by the space itself: La Sudestada’s pieces inspired not only the menu but also the way the food was presented. We created a series of red paintings as plating surfaces, building on the textiles and motifs of the collection. The table became a living canvas, pulsing with color and rhythm.
Each element blurred the boundary between object and edible. Guests discovered chili-necklace accessories inspired by Dalla Paraca, a mirrored chili bracelet whose shape appeared only through reflection, and a checkerboard of fruit leather referencing Dalla Paraca’s woven bags - mistaken for fabric until tasted.
As guests touched, wore, and ate the installation, food, art, and fashion dissolved into one experience. Even after every bite was gone, the table remained a sculptural composition - a record of shared presence and transformation.
