A Dinner Where the Table Becomes the Artwork

Following its debut at Soho House Berlin during Gallery Weekend, L'Art de la Table returns for a second chapter on Saturday August 15th at Art Biesenthal.

L’Art de la Table draws on the French tradition of elevating the table into an art form, taking the idea literally by transforming the table itself into the artwork.

Inspired by one of the great dishes of the French summer - ratatouille - this edition transforms a recipe into a painting. The colors, shapes and proportions of tomatoes, eggplants, zucchini and peppers are translated into a hand-painted geometric composition that spans the entire table, becoming the visual landscape of the meal.

As you take your seat, you'll find yourself dining inside the painting itself. Throughout a seasonal multi-course plated dinner, each course reinterprets the same recipe through new textures, techniques and compositions, revealing how one familiar dish can be transformed into countless expressions.

Rather than simply sharing a meal, you'll experience an evening where painting and cooking unfold together.
